Back Up Sensor Systems

SenseStat is a unique obstacle detection system. Available with wired or wireless options, this back-up alert/reverse-sensing system uses the latest ultrasound technology to detect objects that are up to eight feet from the rear of the forklift or vehicle.

The system uses a unique sensor-scanning algorithm that reads each of four separate sensors, displaying the distance to the one that is closest to an object. This feature offers the ability to monitor four zones simultaneously across the width of the forklift or vehicle. The result is a greater degree of “blind spot” coverage.

The SenseStat Wireless Obstacle Detection Sensor System provides the same solution as the wired version, but comes with the ability to swap trailers with the push of a button. Please note: The monitor and display are the only wireless components.

Features and Benefits -

• Dual Warning Indicators - SenseStat offers both active (audible @ 80 decibels) and passive (inaudible) warning indicators, providing a greater means to avoid backing accidents. The audible alarm has three adjustable sound levels, and the visible display consists of a bright LED monitor that simultaneously shows all four zones, along with the actual distance to the closest object.

• Ease of Installation - The waterproof sensors and Electronic Control Unit (ECU) mount easily on the rear of the forklift/vehicle. The dash mounted warning display unit connects to the ECU via a single waterproof cable that installs under the vehicle. There is only one 2-wire connection required to complete the installation. Most vehicle installations are completed in 1 - 2 hours. The wireless option is even simpler. The waterproof sensors and wireless ECU mount easily on the rear of the truck or trailer and transmit a digitally-encoded signal to the dash mounted LED monitor.

• Stop-line Adjustment – Rear overhang distance adjusts allowing the user to set the "zero-point" for overhanging objects from 0 to 32 inches.

• Electronic Control Unit (ECU) - Fully-potted, ruggedized ECU is designed to mount on the vehicle and works in all weather conditions with operating temperatures from -30 degrees celsius to +80 degrees celsius.
