When an impact takes place, an alarm and/or lift interrupt occurs. A supervisor uses the "Disarm Key" to shut off the alarm and reset the unit. (The G-Force 1 is recommended for companies running 5 trucks or less and one shift.)
Features:
- Impact monitors are mounted to vehicles
- Impact thresholds programmed on a per-vehicle basis
- "Alarm" state and optional lift interrupt for threshold-exceeding impacts
- Supervisor "disarming" of vehicles in "alarm" state
Benefits:
- Improved driver accountability
- Improved driver performance and workplace safety
- Reduced costs associated with unsafe vehicle operation (i.e. vehicle damage, product damage, racking and facility damage, down time, operator injury)
- Accident report completion at time of impact
- Field-upgradeable to a G-Force 2 and G-Force 3 systems
G-Force-1 Checklist:
- Impact Monitor - One per vehicle
- Disarm Key - One per supervisor suggested. Keys are not included with monitor.
- Threshold Programming Keys - All units are preset to 0.5G. Additional keys are required to change the threshold setting.
Some suggested impact threshold settings are:
- Pallet Jacks - 0.8 to 1.5G
- Reach Trucks - 0.4 to 0.8G
- Vehicles 10,000 lbs. and larger - 0.3 to 0.4G
