More than 100 years of history and material handling experience have made the UniCarriers brand one of the most trusted brands around the World. Starting from our roots with Barrett Industrial Trucks, TCM and Nissan to the long-standing UniCarriers forklift brand you've come to know and trust. We have built our brand on the legacy of these three industry leaders.

Our Marengo, Illinois, location is both a state-of-the art manufacturing facility, serving our North and South American operations. At over half a million square feet, the space employs sophisticated manufacturing and robotic equipment — plus more than 475 highly skilled and well-trained professionals. We also have a Parts Distribution Facility, a 120,000-square-foot manufacturing annex building and a brand-new design center on campus.

Our facility’s ISO 9001:2015, ISO 14001:2015 and ISO 45001:2018 certifications shows our strong customer focus, the commitment of top management, and that advanced processes are in place to help ensure quality, safety and continual improvement in the products we manufacture

At UniCarriers, we recognize that green initiatives are not only good for the earth, they lead to good business practices — promoting efficiency, reducing waste and building goodwill with our customers now and for generations to come. As a result, we continue to introduce new environmentally-responsible policies and practices in order to minimize our ecological footprint in our workplace and our community…and build forklifts that will do the same in yours.

6 MILLION POUNDS OF WASTE RECYCLED ANNUALLY

Facility Initiatives:

We have developed action plans with specific targets and processes in place to:

  • Minimize CO2 emissions to reduce our overall carbon footprint.

  • Reduce harmful emissions including VOCs to protect the atmosphere, water and soil.

  • Recycle resources — reduce, reuse, recycle to attain a 100% resource recovery rate.

54% REDUCTION IN CO2 EMISSIONS

Forklift Efficiencies:

Our electric powered forklifts are ideal for indoor applications and the environment — because they produce no emissions at all.

When it comes to forklifts powered by internal combustion engines, our GK21 and GK25 engines have set the standards with:

  • Higher fuel efficiency

  • Lower emissions

  • Earned certification by the EPA

  • Earned certification by California Air Resources Board (CARB)

  • Reduced emission levels of carbon monoxide, hydrocarbon and nitrous oxide
